From the moment you meet him, you know Britt Wood loves what he does. Originally from Opelika, Alabama, Britt’s passion for creating the perfect wedding day began at the very young age of four years old at his aunt's wedding.

 

“When my aunt Debbie was getting married, I was enthralled by the swarm of people, the joyful excitement in the air and, most of all, the beautiful décor coming into my grandparent's home. Every last detail - the dress, the cake, the florals, the bridesmaids’ dresses- all of it was imprinted into my tiny little brain! That memory would become a driving factor in the direction of my life." It seems on that day, the seeds of BW Designs Inc. were planted.

BW Designs Inc. began in 2013 as a floral events studio. Their work is hard to miss- there is a lushness, fine attention to detail, and an ambiance of quiet luxury that Britt and his team skillfully create. “We are so fortunate to be able to provide the full scope of the wedding to the bride and her family if so desired,” says Wood. “From the dresses to the bridesmaid luncheon to the rehearsal dinner to the church decor to the reception! And more of our brides are doing it all with us!”

In 2017, BW Designs Inc. expanded to open a bridal salon in Midtown, Atlanta, filled with gowns and accessories for every style. A designer himself, Britt was thrilled to take his passions one step further.

 

“I remember, so clearly, the moment I saw Princess Diana in her fabulous gown. Time stopped as I paused to watch the royal wedding with the rest of the world, captivated by it all." It seems creating beautiful wedding gowns was a natural evolution for BW Designs. 

There is tremendous excitement around moving to a new premier location in Buckhead in Fall 2023. It will enable BW Designs to continue to expand the collection of custom bridal gowns, while further extending the collection of Mother-of-the-Bride/ Groom dresses due to increasing popularity and demand.
